Nation First Academy is one of the very few SSB training institutes which boasts of well qualified (DIPR Trained) and experienced ASSESSORS across all the three techniques used at SSB ie Psychological Tests, Group Tasks and a Behavioural Interview which are all used for Personality Assessment and Selection of officers for the Armed Forces. Each of our Qualified Assessors has over 22+ years of uniformed service as Commissioned Officers in the Armed Forces and over 7 years as Panel members across various SSB Boards in India.

Brig Jay Konnur, SM ( Retd )

Ex President & IO, SSB

Brig Jay Konnur, SM has an MSc in Defence Studies from Madras University and served for 36 years in the Infantry. He commanded the Kargil Brigade during operations and was Commandant, Rajputana Rifles Regimental Centre, Delhi. He was trained as an Interviewing Officer at Defence Institute of Psychological Research, DRDO, Delhi. He later had a tenure as President and IO at Services Selection Board, Bangalore, where he interviewed more than 2000 candidates.

He has been conducting regular classes on Personality Development, Communication Skills, Time Management, Leadership and Team Building for more than a decade.

He was awarded SENA MEDAL for distinguished service in Kargil.

Cdr Sachin Jog

Ex Psychologist, SSB

Commander Sachin Jog is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy and has served in the Indian Navy in various operational and administrative capacities for about 22 years. He is a qualified analyst of human behaviour and evaluator of personality profile of candidates seeking selection in the Indian Armed Forces. He is a trained assessor and is competent to analyse manpower skills and efficiency levels.

Commander Sachin holds the distinction of having served back to back at two Selection Boards, his first tenure being at the Naval Selection Board at Coimbatore followed by a two year stint at the Selection Centre at Bangalore. In his tenure as a Psychologist at the Selection Centres at Coimbatore and Bangalore, he has evaluated close to 3500 candidates. Candidates selected by him are currently serving in various appointments as commissioned officers of the Indian Armed Forces.

Commander Sachin is a qualified assessor from Defence Institute of Psychological Research, New Delhi and presently functions as a full time HR consultant. He is empanelled with various assessment agencies including Ernst & Young as a qualified behavioural assessor and involved in multiple projects for assessment of specific traits for promotion and training needs of corporates especially at middle and senior levels of Management.

In his tenure as a head of HR of a private organisation at Bangalore, he has had extensive experience in recruitment and selection of candidates through engineering campuses across India and has travelled across almost all the Indian states to pick up the best of talent from the top colleges across the country. In his close to 4 years with a private company, he was instrumental in recruiting over 4000 engineering graduates through the campus selection route. He is qualified soft skills trainer and is empanelled as a teaching faculty for HR and for soft skills and interview training for management colleges, earlier in Bangalore and now in Pune.

Col Sameer Bhoraskar

Ex GTO, SSB

Col Sameer Bhoraskar is an alumnus of the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun and has served in the Corps of Engineers in various operational and administrative capacities for 22 years. He is a qualified analyst of Human Behavior and Evaluator of Personality profile of candidates seeking selection in the Indian Armed Forces. He is a trained assessor and is competent to analyse manpower skills and efficiency levels.

Col Sameer Bhoraskar holds the rare distinction of being nominated twice as the Group Testing Officer continuously for two back to back tenures at Selection Centre Central, Bhopal and Selection Centre South, Bangalore. He was chosen as the prestigious Reference Group Testing Officer in the All India Seminar on selection of Officers for the Armed Forces. He has taken active part in the refinement and validation of the New Selection System designed by Defence Institute of Psychological Research, New Delhi. He has evaluated close to 3000 candidates in his tenure of 7 years as Group Testing Officer at Bhopal and Bangalore. Close to 150 candidates selected by him are currently serving in various appointments as commissioned Officers of the Indian Armed Forces. He has also been a trainer for 15 Group Testing Officers, some of whom are currently employed with Selection Centres.

Col Sameer Bhoraskar is a qualified Assessor from the Defence Institute of Psychological Research, New Delhi. He conducts regular workshops and consultancy services for aspiring candidates.
